| Case Study: Gallery Wrapped Canvas Prints |
 |
What is Gallery Wrapped?
The term "gallery wrapped" refers to the way the canvas is stretched over the 1 1/2 to 2-in. custom made wooden stretcher supports.
There are three ways in which we can produce what appears on the sides of your print:
Gallery Wrap White or Black Border A classic white or black edge is part of your image.
Gallery Wrap Color Border A color of your choosing is part of your image.
Gallery Wrap Continuous Mirrored Image The outer portion of the image wraps around the sides; indicate which part of the image you would like wrapped or "cloned" and wrapped.
Construction
Our canvas is made from the highest quality fabric and is specifically created for fine art printing.
We use only the best state-of-the-art pigmented inks developed by industry leaders Epson (K3) and HP (Porvera). These inks were specifically designed for long life properties and wide color gamut.
Canvas prints are available in widths up to 55" (on 60" wide canvas) and lengths up to the maximum length of the roll.
Canvas comes in standard artist weave and a lesser pronounced weave designed for photographers.
All stretcher bars are made to order from renewable resource wood. Cross bracing is provided every 36-in. to maximize stability.
Canvas is wrapped around wood stretchers and stapled.
Protective Coating
A specially formulated eco-friendly coating is applied to each print prior to stretching. This protects
the print from physical damage as well as harmful UV. The coating will ensure generations of enjoyment
of your print.
Protective coating comes in Lite Gloss, Lo Lustre, and Matte finishes.
