Archival Technology Not only are these prints beautiful, they are designed to last. They
are made with pigmented inks printed on the same fine art materials that the artist would chose for painting or sketching. With

Camera/Scanning

Printmakers Chicago uses a BetterLight Large Format Digital Scanning Camera System for high-quality scans of at least 300 dpi
up to 30 x 40 inches in size. Originals to be scanned can be almost any size.
Inks

Printmakers Chicago uses Epson Ultrachrome pigmented inks that have been rated for lightfastness to approximately 80 years, under
good conditions.

create a look and feel that replicates the aesthetics of the fine exhibition print.

Hahnemühle German Etching 310

Product Description
310 gsm mould-made, acid free etching paper, with the smoothest surface in the artline range making it ideal for
images which are highliy detailed and photographic imagery. Also, as the name suggests a surface similar to an
etching paper which will also reproduce traditional prints excellently.
Applications and Characteristics
The printed side of this paper has been specially coated for excellent image sharpness and optimum colour graduation.
The coating also offers a very high level of water resistance.
Common applications include:
Fine art reproduction, business cards, greetings cards, post cards, menu and Novelty applications,
certificates and presentation prints for display purposes.
Hahnemühle Photorag 308

A smooth bright white 100% rag based paper specifically designed to meet the need of photographers or
artists using digital photographic output. The heavier 308 gsm paper provides the weight of an art paper
with a smooth calendered surface, which picks up every detail captured in the photograph.
Applications and Characteristics
The coated side of this paper provides excellent image sharpness and optimum colour graduation.

Hahnemühle Bamboo 290

Bamboo 290 is the first FineArt inkjet paper to be made of approx 90% highly renewable bamboo fibres,
thereby helping to conserve valuable resources. Hahnemühle will donate a fixed amount
from the sale of each Bamboo paper product towards environmental projects.
Description
Its natural white tone makes it particularly suitable
for warm-hued colors. The paper's wide color gamut and extreme color density ensures detailed fine
art prints with a 3-dimensional image sharpness. Its fine soft haptic also lends a tangible fourth
dimension to fine art prints.
Sihl 3857 Artist Canvas

An excellent choice for fine art reproductions and has a slightly lower cost than Sihl's Instant Dry Canvas.
This 20 mil double-weave stretchable cotton artist canvas has a special water resistant ink receptive coating
(pigment inks required for water resistance). Coating resists cracking when framed and is 100% acid free.
Description
3857 is compatible with dye, pigment, thermal and piezo inks for all of the popular printers. Due to the presence
of natural components (cotton) in the base material, the surface characteristic will vary slightly. The thicker coating
on top of a multi-layer gesso primer obscures some of the canvas surface texture, but minimizes pin-holes and other surface variability.
LexJet Premium Matte Paper

LexJet's Premium Matte Paper bridges the gap between presentation bonds and photo papers, providing high color
saturation, superb imaging, with brilliant colors, and an extremely versatile coating. It's an upgrade from our
industry-setting standard Satin Low Gloss, and it's perfect for high-impact graphics that require thermal laminating.
The inkjet coating on this product is engineered for thermal and piezo printer platforms as well as dye and pigment ink.
